Reuben Deli Roll
 
Ingredients
  • 2 puff pastry sheets
  • 1 pound corned beef, shredded (buy pre cooked corned beef from the deli department of your local grocery store and slice in strips)
  • 16 ounces (2 cups) sauerkraut, drained
  • 2 chopped and caramelized onions (or frozen caramelized onions )
  • ¼ teaspoon minced garlic or garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ cup spicy brown deli mustard, plus more for serving
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350ºF. Line a 9- x 13-inch baking pan with parchment paper. Place puff pastry sheet inside the pan.
  2. Combine meat, sauerkraut, and mayonnaise. Add onion, garlic, paprika, pepper, and mustard.
  3. Divide filling and place over both puff pastry sheets. Fold one side of the roll in towards the center. Fold the other side over the top. Using a fork, press to secure the two edges.
  4. Brush with beaten egg. Sprinkle with sesame seeds. Slice 3 diagonal slots across the top of each log. Bake, seam side down, for 30 to 45 minutes. Serve with spicy brown deli mustard.
