We’re so excited to be back with the Masmidei HaShabbos program, taking our kids’ excitement and appreciation for Shabbos to the next level. Get all the details below and download the booklets over here!
Last year, we joined our kids in Agudah’s Ki Heim Chayeinu Masmidei HaShabbos campaign. Some of our kids received booklets from school and some downloaded them here, but all enjoyed amazing stories, inspiration, and halachos about Shabbos.
Masmidei HaShabbos is about inspiring kids, and in turn, their families to a greater appreciation of the meaning and joy found in Shabbos (because let’s be real, how many of us wait until our children’s parsha sheets come out on Friday night to remember what parsha it is?). Through their weekly booklets, your children-and you!- will learn relevant halachos, the meaning of different zemiros, and gain inspiration from engaging and fun stories.

And the girls’ video here (Shabbos Malkisa)!
I took an informal poll among my kids: What’s your favorite thing about Shabbos? Without hesitation, one said ‘Shabbos party!’ The next one paused and said, ‘Picking up Tatty from shul.’ Both great answers, especially because I was expecting, ‘No school!’ or ‘No homework!’ Their love for Shabbos is natural. They see how much we love Shabbos, they see how we prepare for Shabbos, the effort we put into Shabbos, and how much we treasure Shabbos once it arrives.
What Masmidei HaShabbos does is build on the love our children naturally have for Shabbos and add a deeper understanding of the tefilos, zemiros and essence of Shabbos through an engaging 6-week program including their weekly newsletters (Masmidei HaShabbos for boys, Shabbos Malkisa for girls).
The program is fun! Complete 4 missions (learn, elevate, discuss and remember) a week to be entered to win amazing prizes, including tickets to the Shabbos Ma’amad! Call the Shabbos hotline to let them know you completed the missions and listen to amazing stories and exciting announcements.
Look out for a deeper dive into the newsletters, but meanwhile join us for Week 1 here to elevate your Shabbos!
