The bar mitzvah is over, and now I have a DVD full of brand new memories which need to find their way into print. The family is all dressed up, the girls in their pretty dresses, and the boys in their new suits and ties…and of course, the bar mitzvah boy, all of a sudden grown up in his new hat, shining with confidence.
For these pictures, I want an album and wall prints that will last. So, I’m turning to Alura Photo. I first used Alura to print acrylic wall prints of family members with Gedolim for my dining room. I wanted real photos, but because I wanted a clean modern look, I wanted the photos printed on acrylic. From Alura, I received top-notch service and a super high-quality product on ¼-inch thick acrylic that looks even better than I envisioned. Plus, they’re waterproof and UV and scratch resistant…truly forever.
First, the Album
For my bar mitzvah album, I wanted one of those leather albums with thick, silver-edged pages…the same type that I have for my wedding…the kind that stays on the shelves forever and is perused again and again over the years and generations. Only, now I had a DVD with pictures, not a big expensive fancy wedding package that comes with albums.
No problem, I can make my own album on Alura. I can choose the cover material, the layout, the colors, the style, and drag and drop my uploaded photos onto each page. I can stamp my son’s name in Hebrew in foil on the cover. I can choose a more affordable lay-flat book or the premium style with thick pages. The result? A gorgeous high-quality album with a high end look at an accessible price.
Next, the Wall Prints
There are so many high-quality options! In the past, I always printed family photos on Styrene, which is so well-priced. I figure that regular family photos get replaced on the wall every couple of years, and Styrene looks great at a great price. For a simcha, or prints that should last forever, Alura has both acrylic, as mentioned above, canvas, and metal―which is so durable and sleek, also perfect for a modern home.
The metal can be mounted on the wall or stood on a table―there are lots of options and sizes…and there’s no frame necessary.
Do you want to give the perfect personalized gift?
Because Alura has the Jewish client in mind, you can order Birkat Habayis or Hadlakas Neiros prints for the wall, complete with family photos. You can also create a challah blessing print or card, like this one, for a loved one. There are also themed prints you can customize to mark any occasion, including bar mitzvahs, upsherins, and weddings.
Do you have other memories you want to see in print?
Recently, my family took out our photo albums that document the years that our 10 through 13-year-old children were babies and toddlers. We took and printed so many photos! But there are no printed photos to peruse of my younger children…that’s because the photos are all on our phones! My husband asked me, “Why can’t we also have albums from the last few years?”
I know this is on the to-do list for many of you!
It’s actually very cost-effective and easy with Alura’s EZPhotobooks. For $12.99, you can print a photobook with 30 pages (additional pages are only $1.20 for two sides), with either one or multiple photos per page–your choice. You can use one of Alura’s templates or create your own book. Just upload the photos, and drag and drop. It’s so easy to use. In minutes you can create the photo books for your shelves that your family will enjoy over and over.
Alura understands the Jewish lifecycle and what you need to capture memories at every point in your life. And they understand that you want premium service and quality.
I think it’s finally time to see our best photos in print.
