Kids Coat Roundup
In this part of the world, it seemed winter would never come. Mid-October and the weather was still hot. Not warm, but actually humid and hot. But, finally it’s starting to turn and we’re all realizing that we do actually have to get coats for our kids. Of course, the Between Carpools crew has made that task easier by presenting some of our favorites.
Note that many of these retailers often offer discount codes to make the prices even more attractive. Be sure to look out for them.
For boys who like a bit of a fashion look, check out this parka with fur-trimmed collar from Gap. We love the dark maroon but there are more conservative colors available, too.
A classic navy puffer is a low-risk choice for the most finicky of boys – and this one is available in husky sizes, too!
For the trendy little girl in your life who likes to be warm at the bus stop, this longer style belted parka is on point:
The teen girls waiting at the bus stop before the sun is even up can really use something warm like this down jacket from Gap.
Legend has it that Lands End down jackets are simply the best ones on the market. They can be passed down to more than one little brother/cousin/friend. The colors of their coats can be a bit tricky but we picked some of our favorites.
Here’s a classic boys down jacket.
A shiny silver jacket for the little fashionistas.
And a long style for that girl who is always cold.
Confession: I (Esti W) have a thing for white puffer coats. They’re impractical and need a frustrating amount of cleaning, but there’s just nothing like a winter white against the dark colors of winter clothing. This Zara jacket might just be the one I’ll be getting for my little one this winter. (But don’t worry – it comes in more practical colors, too.)
A classic black puffer with fur-trimmed hood is hard to beat.
A little girl in a bright red coat – so timeless! Maybe I need to change my choice to this one…and it’s down so it’s definitely warm (also comes in lots of colors).
This Zara khaki long down parka with fur trimmed hood is another stylish choice for the guys.
And here’s an affordable classic black puffer any boy would agree to wear:
Back to the white coats – you just might be seeing my teenager wearing this at the crack of dawn this winter.
Zara also makes this cute – and affordable – choice for the older girls.
Another affordable choice in a bomber style from H&M.
This boys puffer from Next Direct comes in a fun cobalt color – and has a nice price.
And for girls!
North Face jackets are very lightweight but very warm. Active boys really appreciate the lack of bulk when they’re out doing whatever active boys do in the winter.
And for your little one who really just needs a coat to look cute. With this down nununu coat they can be warm as well.
