Do you fumble for each family member’s passport when you check in and go through security? There’s one simple solution.
You’re ready to fly. You have everything ready. There are hoodies and snacks and diapers and toys and prizes and chargers and headphones and blankies and pacifiers and sippy cups and books and passports. A neat stack of every passport for the whole family. And you need to pick out just the right one for the first person to go through security. Fumble, fumble, fumble.
Or do what we did. Remember the labeling obsession? Bring it on! Put a label with the name of each passenger (just the first name is enough – or even initials if they’re unique within the family) on the back cover of the passport. Now you can easily fan out the stack and pick the right one—no fumbling necessary!
Thanks Chantzy Weinstein for this tip!

I find getting it open to the picture page is more annoying so I stuck in a post it flag (the one that looks like it’s a file label) on that page with the person’s name sticking out.

Genius! I’m always amazed at the amazing hacks you come up with that are just so simple…
Great to keep in mind even when traveling just as a couple. Two is enough to make you fumble…

Note: Not all countries allow you to “ruin” governmental documents. I was stopped in Israel for “tampering” with the Israeli passports.

A passport holder like they sell on Amazon is also good. And you can stick in the first page so it’s open to the picture page. Different colours or designs for different family members

Doing this for years… Should’ve patented it 🙂
