From moderately priced to luxury, these are the best lightweight strollers (perfect for traveling and family trips!) at different price points.
It’s that time of year when we load suitcases and duffel bags packed with tiny summer outfits and matching socks (and whatever else we need for Pesach) into the trunk of our cars and head out to parents’ guest rooms, your husband’s childhood bedroom, or another (more exotic) destination.
With such limited living space in your temporary, week-long home (or your car!), you might consider leaving the full-size stroller behind and pack a lightweight travel stroller.
Here is a lineup of our top picks at different price points:

SG says
Just wanted to share that I can fold my yoyo with one hand….. maybe its an older version?
shira says
Hi SG, to get the complete fold – you would need to fold it with 2 hands
Sury L. says
A con of the yoyo should be that it’s quite heavy
Yael says
It also doesn’t sit up completely. It’s always on a slight incline which is annoying.
Sarah says
I have a pockit stroller, it folds up small enough to fit in a back, highly recommend. I’ve brought it on numerous flights and traveling with it is a dream
Chavi says
Love this post!
Can you share recs for travel doubles?
Thank you!
shira says
Hey Chavi – for lighter weight double travel strollers, I would recommend the Baby Jogger City Tour2 double, or the Valco Baby Duo Trend.
Anmill says
major cones of the yoyo is that it doesn’t lean back and doesn’t hold baby’s feet up.
It does wheel very smoothly but can flip very easily too…
don’t know why so many people buy it…….
Devorah says
I have the joolz aer. Newer and up and coming. One hand fold. Lightest of this whole list!!
Evelyn says
Can you discuss double strollers for a newborn and toddler?
What should we get full size or lightweight. Are both necessary
Ruchie says
Are there any other good lightweight strollers that are cheaper than all these? Like less than 200?
H says
Yes- citi miny travel stroller- i think 160. (The one with the 4 wheels, not three) Fully functional- does the job but not as sleek as the others. Also smaller wheels. Leans further back than others and has a footrest. Very easy fold, good basket and quite light. It worked great for me although did regret not getting something a bit more fashionable since i use waaay more than i thought i would.

Hi
I’m not sure if you can purchase this in the USA but the Cybex Libelle is extremely compact and lightweight. It’s perfect as a travel pushchair.
Becky says
Love love uppababy minu! Wheels like a dream, verg compact. Best of all, the whole stroller, including hood and basket, strips and can get washed in a front loader!
S says
Not available in the us but the bump rider connect is a game changer. Similar to a yo-yo except it has an amazing magnetic feature which connects 2 strollers into a double. For all the Europeans out there…
shira says
Hi Ruchie- the Uppababy G-luxe is $199.99
D says
I have the nano! Best part is that is lays completely flat!

Any suggestions for a sibling ride on board?
dassi says
the bugaboo butterfly is amazing-just came out got it by elemeno in lakewood ! super!
e says
My favorite is my babjogger city tour. Super light weigh, easy fold, full recline and fits in airplane storage. Only issue is canopy not as good as other baby joggers so I extended it with material!
Ruth says
What’s with the bugaboo butterfly? Can someone recommend it?
Yehudis says
I compared the minu and butterfly in person. I found that the minu fit a bigger child more comfortably. The adapters are also cheaper.
Uppa baby makes a ride on bored for the minu
Dina says
The bugaboo butterfly is amazing and one handed fold. The joolz aer is also amazing, and also one handed fold. Joolz is lighter than the bugaboo by a couple pounds, both wheel really nicely and a breeze to take in and out of trunks, buses, taxis…
Nechama says
Thanks! How does mountain buggy compare to city jogger baby tour, both similar price.
