We also asked Miriam–when did you start planning Shabbos events?
“It used to be that everyone in my family would take care of a different aspect of Shabbos Chanukah. After a few years, they decided it would be easier to go to a hotel program. They did that for a few years but it didn’t feel as cozy as the whole family being in one big house together. The issue was that no one wanted to arrange all the details because it’s such a big job. Being the organized and detail-oriented type they asked me if I would like to arrange their Shabbos Chanukah weekends. I decided to give it a try and I enjoyed every minute of it. The Shabbos was a huge success and no one in my family had to lift a finger! After doing it for my family for a few years I decided to take what I love doing and help other families have a more enjoyable, stress-free Shabbos getaway. Cuz that’s what Shabbos getaways should be like!”
