It was something we felt was missing –the one, central place that aligned with our values and offered the resources, tips, hacks, and yes, the easy recipes we needed for day-to-day life.
And, so, the five of us sat down together that Thursday to plan.
There was the perfect, rare collaboration of experience and talents. A few were already accomplished cookbook authors. Leah also excelled in project management and networking. Victoria liked to take her creativity to the page as a writer. Renee was the star stylist, with distinctive European class and taste. Esti was the photographer with honed technical expertise. Shaindy, the uber-talented graphic artist and web designer, was that essential creative. And so, we built it.
With Hashem’s help, Between Carpools turned out to be just what we imagined and more. Today, it’s grown to be the #1 leading website for Jewish women with over 1.5 million visits each month.
Our book, Dinner Done, became the best-selling cookbook of the last 20 years, with 100,000 copies sold. It’s the daily staple in the Jewish woman’s kitchen.
The BCP team continues to be inspired by each other, by our contributors, and by our readers, as we continue to strive to make each day just a little bit easier for all of you.

THE BCP TEAM
Between Carpools was founded by five talented friends who manage to get a lot done. Oh, and as moms of 25+ kids between us, there’s plenty of carpools.
Victoria Dwek – “The Writer”
Victoria chats often with her readers on the pages of Ami and through her nine cookbooks. She calls herself a writer first, because that’s how she loves to connect to you. Through Between Carpools, she’s excited to share the non-culinary side of her life too. On our team, she’s also the content organizer, and the one that makes sure our posts are ready to go live.
Renee Muller – “The Stylist”
Renee was a trailblazer in the food styling industry, creating a new aesthetic for top kosher brands, periodicals, and cookbooks, including her own “Our Table.” Born in Lugano, Switzerland, Renee brings consummate European grace to the Between Carpools team as stylist, lifestyle, and entertaining expert. That BCP look in all our photos? That’s Renee’s touch.
Leah Schapira – “The Connector”
You know Leah as the best-selling author of nine cookbooks, but we know her as the ultimate connector. She’s the one that networks constantly and is always making friends and discovering talent. She keeps us all moving with our eyes focused on the goal. Every team needs a mover, shaker, and motivator (and great recipe developer!) like Leah.
Esti Waldman – “The Photographer ”
You’ve seen her breathtaking shots in ad campaigns, look books, on the pages of magazines, and on the walls of your family and friends. Esti is the uber-productive and super creative visionary with the camera, combining technical skill and drive. On the Between Carpools team, she shares her the full range of her expertise.
Shaindy Menzer – “The Designer”
It’s not only Shaindy’s design skills that keep our jaws dropped. She’s also a technical whiz, with a keen business mind to match. Shaindy has the expertise and know-how that confounds the rest of us. As the developer of Between Carpools.com, Shaindy gets the credit for its modern style, good looks, and ease of use.
