You can take this portable warmer along and enjoy a hot meal on the go.
This past summer, Shiffy Drew mentioned that she was heading on a family trip—and packing a Hot Logic.
A hot what?
Hot Logic is a portable electric food warmer that slowly heats meals over time, keeping food warm and ready to eat without drying it out or overcooking it.
Years ago, we introduced you to one of our favorite travel appliances, the Betty Crocker. While we still love it, the Hot Logic has truly been a game-changer for us.

It lets you heat up food you’ve already prepared at home.

Just place the meal inside.

Then zip it up and plug it in! Come back hours later to a warm, delicious meal—no babysitting required.

Heading out for a day of snow tubing or skiing? Warm up shredded beef, add some baguettes and condiments, and everyone will be nourished, cozy, and happy.

The key difference to know:
The Hot Logic is best for foods that don’t need to be crispy. It gently warms rather than bakes or fries.
It’s perfect for:
- Beef chili
- Stews and soups
- Chicken dishes
- Rice
- Pasta
- Mashed potatoes
- Shredded beef
Just keep in mind:
If you’re heating breaded chicken cutlets, they’ll be warm—but not crispy. As a rule of thumb, if it’s something you’d normally reheat covered in the oven, it will work beautifully in the Hot Logic.

What’s the capacity of a Hot Logic?
Capacity:
- One 9×13 pan

- Half a 9×13 pan plus a loaf pan
- Three loaf pans
Easy, reliable, and perfect for travel—Hot Logic has earned a permanent spot in our packing list.

Note there are smaller sizes of Hot Logic available. We ‘ve linked the 9×13 size for travel with families.

I just bought this for a friend on bedrest in the hospital and she said it is a game changer! Highly recommend.
I took this along when I had to be in the hospital for Shabbos. Had a perfectly hot Seuda Friday night. Jsut didn’t zipper it left it open, it served as a hot plate
Gave it to a friend who was in the hospital for Shabbos, and she was thrilled to have a hot, delicious Seuda!
How is this different/better than a hotplate?
It’s smaller (the larger one fits a 9×13 pan). It’s transportable.
Hospitals typically do not allow hot plates, but in this case, they had no issues with it ( maybe they thought it was just a lunch box?)
Game changer for lunches at school too. My older kids like to take a smaller one and warm up their lunches in it. The way my daughter tells it, half of her (admittedly small) class packs their lunches into hers.
How was the rice in the pic above prepared? Was it made fresh that day or was it frozen and rewarmed? I can never get my frozen rice to taste good so just wondering…
Hot Logic also makes a smaller version that plugs right into a car charger port! Perfect for road trips; you don’t even need to get back “home” to your hotel to enjoy a warm meal. We have both versions and use both when we travel.
Was a total life saver when needed to be in the hospital over shabbos with a family member. Placed a 9×13 in first (was told to do that to cover the heat element) soup went in a 1 lb plastic container (plastic only works if you dont place it directly on the heatbelement) Chicken, kugel & cholent went in smaller pans that stacked one on top of the other. Was also told to leave the zipper open for hatmana. Food was perfectly hot. Actually even needed to wait for the soup to cool a bit, was too hot.
best invention ever! have used this on trips and use it almost daily at home! if I need to be out of the house all day, I put in frozen foods from the freezer, and come home to hot piping dinner. Can be used with foil, plastic and glass. Much better than a microwave.
My daughter who can’t eat gluten used the smaller hot logic in camp to warm up the meals I prepared and froze for her in plastic containers.
Pomegranate frozen meals fit perfectly into the smaller one. It’s really great for ski trips.
Is it safe to keep this plugged-in in a hotel room over shabbos ?
Yes, I did just that on a trip to Niagara Falls. We put soup & Cholent in over Shabbos.
