Your son said he needs double AA batteries for a toy, so you pick some up because you’re not really sure what you have at home. Then, when you get home, you realize that you have plenty of AA batteries. And that the toy really takes AAA batteries. And you have none of those.

If you use primarily AA and AAA batteries, these are sufficient.
If you find yourself needing C and D, these will hold them.

Do your batteries get mixed up and you don’t know which are fresh and which should be tossed? A tester would be helpful.
I finally invested in rechargeable batteries. They’re a bit more expensive but last much longer per charge than disposable ones. And we always have batteries available.
