This foaming cleaner even got out the stubborn blue dye that bleeds off stonewashed clothing.
We’re big fans of washing sneakers in the washing machine. But we also know that most suede sneakers can’t go into a machine. And when my daughter brought home these beige sneakers from camp with blue dye bled all over them, I knew I was in for a challenge.

Turns out there’s a fabulous product for cleaning shoes of more delicate materials – including suede.

It takes a bit more work than other shoes do, but we managed to get these sneakers back to a wearable state. I won’t say they’re as good as new, but at least they’re able to be worn, so it’s a win.

This cleaning set from Jason Markk includes the cleaning foam and a “delicates” brush. You put a generous amount of the foam on the brush and just keep brushing gently in a circular motion. Wipe it with a towel and repeat as many times as necessary until the stain is gone. Just let it air dry and then gently dry brush the suede to kind of fluff it back up.
