Great Card Games for On-the-Go Fun

We’re Playing Games! Card Games are the Best Portable Fun for Family Time

There’s lots of family time on the horizon and whether you’re home or away, card games are a great portable way to have some family fun. We pulled together a list of some of our kids’ favorites. Each of these is a favorite in one of our homes. The only rule was that they have to be games the moms (or big siblings) are willing to play. Go ahead and choose some new wholesome fun for your family!

We Love Card Games. Storing Them in This Case Has Something To Do With It.

Monopoly Deal

7+

The card game versions of classic board games have less pieces to lose, are easier to store, and usually faster to play! This is a top all time favorite card game.

DOS

Another great card game from the makers of UNO.

Blink

A great card game that takes minutes to play each round so it’s great for anytime. Mom can stop whenever she likes!

Codenames

This one is more of a thinking game, so stick with older kids as your playing partners. If there will be just two players, get the Duet edition.

Nerdtz

Very addictive and fun. Similar to Perpetual Commotion, but using real playing cards and slightly different rules.

Perpetual Commotion

This game doesn’t take long and is lots of fun whether you’re just two or as many as six players.

Banana Split

This game is easy to learn and fun for all ages. There’s not too much thinking required so it’s good for quick, easy play for the whole family.

Clue

Another card game version of a classic board game that we enjoy.

Spot It!

A game that the whole family can play – even the 4-year-old.

Slapzi

(Basic Reading Skills and Up)

Apples to Apples

12+ (There is also a Jewish edition to avoid pop culture references, but it’s better priced locally).

Thank you so much! I wanted to get a card game for my girls and wanted some suggestions. Perfect timing! I got our first card game- ‘old maid’ chanuka time and my kids loved it.

Lots of people are looking for fun. This is best priority in these day. I also like to play different types of games. My most favorite game type is racing.
