This is that perfect thing to add to your simcha that requires (almost) no prep but will be cherished forever.
We, at Between Carpools, are always looking for ideas, wherever we might go. It’s been almost 9 years now, and yes we always have our eyes open for new content. Be careful when you invite any one of us to a Sheva Brachos, a birthday party or even a Tehillim gathering. We will usually come out of there with a new post to be featured on BCP, be it a recipe or a tip in chinuch. And your name will be on it.
All jokes aside, this is how this post came about. We were invited to a Sheva Brachos and while shmoozing and eating, a notebook came our way.
“What’s this?” we inquired.

The notebook had a different letter of the alphabet on each page
“Just pick a letter and write something to the new couple.”
“But…..write what???”
“Oh, anything. It can be a quote, a piece of advice, or even a memory you have about them or one of them.”
The letters make it easy to think of something to say.

We loved this idea and knew we had to share it with all of you. We have all been there, trying to think of a cute thing to add to a party, something personal and thoughtful but also, something that doesn’t require too much advance planning or spending. This notebook is simply the perfect thing.

Simply buy a notebook (can be spiral or not) (here is one we liked and here is another pretty one) and then, get some alphabet stickers and stick one on each page.
Pass it around at the event and have every guest pick a page to fill in.
This is perfect for all ages and also, can be used for anniversary parties, birthdays, even work events.

Such a fantastic, simple, meaningful idea! Would be great for a bas mitzva party too, or a goodbye party. Welcome to the neighbourhood gathering – tips and advice for settling in… all kinds of events. Works for mixed family groups as well (when an interactive game may not be appropriate). Also for all ages – younger ones can draw a picture… wow really endless ways to use this. Way to go BCP!
If someone does not have advice to share, a Bracha could also be nice
