Foil isn’t durable and unsecured shelf liners that constantly move out of place are not ideal either. This is a better solution for covering your fridge shelves on Pesach.
No matter what you’ve done in the past, there’s a more practical way to cover your fridge shelves this Pesach.

Glad Press n’ Seal is the answer

Simply spread it out inside your clean fridge.

Press it down only on the plastic frame around the shelf,

not the glass itself.

Trim any excess–you want the plastic to be only on the shelf itself.

The walls of the fridge need to be left uncovered to allow air to circulate.

I actually did this before I saw this post! Great minds think alike! The only problem is that the things on the shelf don’t slide easily they need to be picked up and moved….
Brilliant!
is there anyone who tried this before?
My mother and me tried it two years ago and when we removed them after pesach, we were left with residue on the shelves that had to be washed down. It wasn’t convenient. Wondering if anyone tried this successfully before?
Yes I tried this and had the same annoying residue problems – NOT WORTH IT
I don’t use these because it leaves residue.
I use cling wrap. I put it on the shelf when it’s a drop damp from washing it and it sticks ready well and doesn’t leave any residue
So smart! Does it tear easily if you slide something on it?
Can it be used to line the drawers as well?
The fridge doesn’t have to be lined over pesach because it’s cold. The shelves need to be cleaned. This is if you clean your shelves in advance then you can cover it and then peel it off when you’re ready to put your pesach stuff down…
Most people do not hold this way and do cover their refrigerator shelves. Something that I found that worked really well was one year, I measured and cut out pieces of the Corrugated material we used to cover our counters to fit each shelf. With a tiny drop of tape it It stays put and fits beautifully. Things can slide it can be wiped down easily and we put it away from year to year. Covering our refrigerator takes minutes.
I tried it one yeae and it left a sticky residue that had to be scrubbed off. I would bot recommend doing it
This leaves a residue. Shelf liners can be secured with a bit of tape on the corners and they don’t budge. I keep them on for months after pesach.
I like to use those ‘counter savers’ – disposable counter covers- I just tape them with counter tape at some of the edges.
Another wonderful thing I thank myself for doing last year- after cleaning out the squishy thing pn the freezer door where it closes (this is for fridge/freezers that are horizontal, where crumbs could fall into them…)- is there a proper name for this part?!– I taped over it with clear counter tape, and it lasted all year, so it’s still clean! Nothing fell inside those cracks, and the door still has flexibility to close properly!

I would be nervous that the tape would affect the seal of the door and make the motor work harder…
I think you’re referring to the gasket (the squishy rubber that seals the doors).
Easiest and quickest way to cover refrigerator shelves: slip eqch shelf into a garbage bag. Learned this from my big sister. I’d done the press and seal but it was a frustrating experience.
I have also done this, but it leaves a residue. I find I still do it for my vegetable drawers since they are so hard to cover. Where can you I get corrugated counter covers?
You can buy corrugated plastic at small, local, hardware stores or Home Depot, Lowe’s etc.
my vote is garbage bags – tried the press and seal and had to waste time/effort removing the residue after pesach
