Put on some music, turn off the lights and start dancing!
Whether you have 4 people in the room or 40, a dance party will always lighten the mood and make an evening more fun. Add some “glow” to the party and make it so much better!
There’s something about dancing in the dark that makes people relax more and feel less self conscious. More free to feel the music and just move. But let’s face it – dancing in a dark room can be kind of weird. But when you’re wearing some glow bracelets or a pair of flashing glasses, it’s not weird anymore. Then it’s just plain fun to make all that glowy stuff bounce around!
And it works for all ages! From toddlers to grandparents, it’s hard for anyone to resist the fun of a simple glow stick.
For the most basic glow party, all you need is a pack of glow sticks and connectors. These can be made into bracelets and necklaces – or even glasses with the right connectors – and easily worn.
Add more fun with a variety of light up accessories. Glasses, bracelets, wands – even scrunchies! (Variety packs can be an easy way to mix things up.)
To make your glow accessories really pop, a black light is a really fun (reusable) addition. Plug these in and watch anything neon colored – or white – start glowing in the dark. And if you have black lights, you can add neon tape and body paint and really get creative!
For Purim, birthdays, or just to liven up a long motzei Shabbos during vacation time, clear the room, turn out the lights, put on a lively playlist and start dancing!
Note: Glow in the dark items can only be used once. Light up ones can be reused if you switch them off, but keep in mind that they don’t usually last for more than 2-3 uses. Neon will always glow under a black light.
Taping glow sticks on you in the shape of a stick figure is also very funny
We used a variety pack on Chanukah like you suggested and to my surprise the funnest part was putting them together and decorating ourselves, even my husband got in on the fun! The glo-in-the-dark activity I’d planned was almost unnecessary!
@devorah what glow in the dark activity did u plan? I’m planning a party and I’m looking for fun activities for a small crowd
