Are your married children arriving soon, with their babies in tow? Make the house baby ready with this list.
It could be that it’s been a while since there was a baby in your home. And now your young marrieds (or even your old marrieds) are coming for Pesach, along with their babies.
Babies need a lot of things. But you can make it easier for them to shlep everything by keeping lots of the basics on hand so that your home is instantly baby-friendly. Lots of these things are bulky and are hard to pack. It’s so much easier if they’re readily available in your home for whenever they’re visiting.
They’ll appreciate it so much!
So, what do you stock, besides for the obvious diapers and wipes? Here’s a handy list of everything that might come in handy over Yom Tov.
Important Note: While your own daughter might already know what you keep for her in your home, if it’s a daughter-in-law that’s coming, it will be very helpful for her to know ahead of time what you’ll have on hand so she can cross it off her list.

This is a great post, but you forgot to mention the most important thing:
Children, this is a TOTAL chessed!!!
Be appreciative, and don’t nitpick your gracious mother/mother-in-law that she got the wrong stuff!!!
And if they don’t want to buy all this stuff, and would rather that you bring your own stuff, remember that anything they do is a chessed.
Thank you for this post. Many of these items are very useful to have on hand. However, the baby bathtub is something I do not understand, I remember being with my sister in laws and one of them was putting up a fuss about needing a baby bathtub. I mean seriously, would one night of washing your baby down in the sink with a cloth hurt anyone? Why should your mother/mother in law have to store this bulky item for twice a year?
Another thing you can add to the list are the pack n play mattresses that make the pack n play comfortable more like a crib.
My mother has a baby bath and it makes things so much easier!! For a newborn it’s totally fine, but any older and bathing in the sink is hard! And most ppl are at their parents for more than one day twice a year!
I don’t own a baby bathtub since my first. I got rid of it because it was too bulky in my own house! I just lay down a towel in the bathtub so it’s not as slippery and keep my hand on the baby. Works at home, should work at the grandparents too.
Same!
FYI, Infant tylenol is the same as children’s tylenol, just in a smaller bottle for a higher price. Infant motrin is a different concentration.
ikea has a great highchair for an amazing price.

Love that towel idea for the bath!!
Who’s not looking to declutter random big stuff that you only use for a month or two at a time from your house?
an extra mattress for the pack n play is so so nice to have! It’s not something I would bring along, but my baby wouldn’t sleep well with just the thin cardboard one. I used to dread going to my mother bec I knew I would be up all night with my baby…until she got a mattress and its a game changer!
