Get your tickets online in advance and you could save a lot.
If you’re heading to multiple parks in Orlando, you could purchase tickets to different parks separately. Or you could purchase a ticket that lets you see multiple parks in one day. Either of those options are going to be very expensive.
I found that the most cost-effective option is $230 for a 4-day pass to Universal Studios parks. Children 9 cost a little less. You get to go to one park per day — either Universal Studios or Islands of Adventure — but the value per day can’t be beat (four days at Disney parks would be more expensive, although you are getting more parks).
You won’t find this option under “Tickets” but under “Deals and Specials” on Universal’s site.
Some other useful info: Yes, you can bring your own food into the park (definitely a necessity over Pesach), but heads up, your drinks must be in a closed bottle. There are free lockers alongside the rides where you can’t bring your bags, but they’re only so you can leave your stuff there for the duration of the ride (if you leave them there too long, you’ll incur a charge).
Sometimes, when the park is full, you can only ride with an express pass or Virtual Line, which is free. Download the app and get a return time that your group can ride. Note on a typical full day in the park you will spend a lot of time waiting on line. In the morning, we waited as little as 10 minutes but in the early afternoon the lines will get much longer.
