Are we moving away from old-fashioned mops and maintaining our floors with these multi-purpose machines?
One of the most popular topics that comes up in our inbox is about the ever-evolving vacuum mop machines that seem to be getting better and better very quickly. Our readers want to know if we have them and love them.
What is this machine?

Picture an upright vacuum, but this one vacuums and washes your floor at the same time.
Surprisingly, none of us on the team has one yet! And now we’re wondering why…
We turned to our followers on social media and asked – do you have a machine and do you love it? Why or why not?
And the answers came pouring in. There are many passionate moppers out there!
Our readers are loving the later model Tineco machines, but not the Bissell ones. Dreame also got a couple of mentions.
These machines are best used for daily maintenance, with standard mopping once in a while for a deeper clean. It’s very important to empty the dirty water, run the self clean and let the parts dry after each use (or daily if used multiple times a day) to avoid unpleasant smells. Some people found this tedious, but most people say it’s worth it.
The following are the models most recommended:
Life changing. Get one you won’t regret it. I have the Tineco i3 it’s not crazy expensive at about $250 and does a great job. Went from floors that drove me crazy because they were always dirty to floors that are generally clean and always able to ask a child to do a quick job whenever needed. It’s so easy!
I have the tineco S5 its amazing and so helpful here in Israel! You must remember to clean the dirty water tank otherwise it will rlly smell after. There is also a website that u can get non foam soap from thats cheaper then the tineco soap.
I dont have any carpet in my house just tile. What would you recommend?
I use the wet &dry machine on porcelain. That is my complete 1st floor. I wouldn’t trade it for anything! It’s fantastic and works amazing.
Chani, Go for the Dyson. its literally an extenstion of my hand i use it so often!
I’ve been using diluted fabuloso instead of the tineco solution and haven’t noticed any problems. Much cheaper. Also, at some point was leaving lots of water on the floor, I changed the rolling brush and was good as new.
Is there any reason the Tineco Floor ONE S7 FlashDry is not being recommended? I want to invest in a Wet Dry Vacuum now and I’m so confused which one to get. Is it necessary or worthwhile to get an expensive one? Are they really so much better?
I have the bissell crosswave omniforce and it works just fine. It’s maybe not as flashy as the tineco but I’ve been using it for half a year and no complaints. It’s definitely worth for the cheaper price.
I use Roborock and love it. Definitely needs maintenance to empty the tank every time, but keeps the floors consistently cleaner, with almost no effort and esp amazing for kids messes that are wettish dryish all at once!
how does this work on wood floors?
Shoutout to my one and only Roborockstar! Highly recommended!!
