I was wondering, when Mashiach comes, is there going to be anything we are going to miss?
Are we going to be like 4/5 of Jews in Egypt who wanted to stay?
Is Mashiach someone who has been living in our midst or will he “come down from Shamayim”. If he is from among us, will he be from a specific sector and will we care? Maybe after all this is all over we will be so excited to see a HUMAN that we will love one another like never before.
Will Houses in the midst of being built be finished? Will my kids continue learning in their schools?
How badly do we want Mashiach and more importantly , do we even know what we’re davening for?

Mrs. Rivka Malka Perlman has many lectures on Torahanytime.com which discuss the beauty, joy and love that we will feel during the times of geulah and moshiach. The link below is for a lectures that was given for tisha bav and it helps to instill a most beautiful yearning for moschiach.

After thinking a lot about our current situation I decided to do a quick exercise with my kids – something concrete to show we are waiting for the geulah, and something constructive we can do to make it real . I sat my kids down on the couch and told them that this whole scenario brings to mind makos bechoros. The jews had to be locked up with their families while the mashchis destroyed outside. I told them that since the yidden had to bring the korban pesach and dip three branches in the blood to smear on their door posts for protection we we are going to do the “same”. Our korbanos will be1. I AM RIGHT -even though we may be right we are shechting that and we are going to be mevater and not carry on fights 2. Negativity – all complaining name calling etc is going on the alter 3. Loshon hara – if someone did something you don’t like I don’t need to know about it work it out!
We took three pieces of sidewalk chalk and wrote our three korbonos on them with marker, then I made my kids break them and color our door post with them. I do think it left an impression on them and will hopefully help to keep the peace in our home (at least for a little while ????)
