A few weeks ago, we introduced our Clothing Dots and Sticky Dots in partnership with Label Land. Read about this amazing product here! These color coded dots are perfect for keeping track of what belongs to which kid in the household, but that’s not only what we use them for.
I used the Iron-On Clothing Dots on everything you see below. It took just seconds for me to apply them to each item.
Which One Belongs to Who?
In my house, we’ve never really had sizing close enough to be confusing―until my kids grew up and their clothing became adult-sized! And while there’s not much my teenage daughter and I wear in common, there are a few basics that require an extra check to see what belongs to whom. So now our matching black leggings each have a clothing dot―red for me and green for her. At a quick glance, I know on which pile each one belongs.
Is That Black or Is It Navy?
Another helpful way we use the dots is to differentiate between colors. You know the struggle― is this the black shell or the really dark navy one? No more struggle. Because most of the items in question are black (duh!), I simply added a blue dot to all the blue items.
Blue tights vs black tights? No more morning struggle. Now we know at a glance―if there’s a blue dot, they’re the navy ones. No dot? Not for a uniform day!
And then there are the regular tights vs footless tights. Once they’re rolled up, there’s no way to know which is which. Again, there are much fewer of the footless variety, so those got a sticky dot. Such a simple solution to a really annoying problem you may not have known you have!

just another completely different use.. use three of colors to mark meat, dairy, milk and identify drawers/cabinets by color and write on a letter or number. Now DH can help in the kitchen (or cleaning lady, kids etc) and put things where I can find them the next time!

Did anyone else have the dots fade?
My green is so light it looks like the blue. And the red faded, from just regular washing and drying.
Quite upsetting- I bought a ton of theee labels…

The dots are falling off. I ironed them on as per instructions. Please advise.
