How to Make Your Dishes Look Like New

Do you have white dishes that look like they are past their prime, scuffed up with scratches?

You want new dishes. But you don’t actually need new dishes. Because, really, you can clean up all those scratches.

Didn’t know that? We didn’t know either. Until we learned that all those scratches aren’t really scratches or even little cracks. Rather, they’re caused by the cutlery scraping against the dishes. And they can be cleaned!

Scooping some The Pink Stuff with gloved hands and a slightly damp paper towel.

This is the product that will do it. The Pink Stuff is meant for stubborn stains on hard surfaces–and it does the trick with dishes too.

Use a slightly damp paper towel to scoop out some of the product.

Scrubbing a matte white dinner plate with gloved hands and a slightly damp paper towel with The Pink Stuff.

Scrub at the metallic stains left behind by cutlery that you sometimes get on matte dinnerware.

Three matte white plates, each scrubbed with The Pink Stuff.

You’ll need to put some effort into it, but it should come off.

Like new matte white plates.

You see? Like new!

I actually used it on my set of Wedgwood porcelain dishes, that I received many years ago, to take off the design that was half faded off! Now they look new!

If I use it on China to take off the black knife marks will it take off the design as well?

Powerpaste is like the pink stuff but even better. It comes with an amazing sponge and it’s a vip Pesach cleaning season
