On this YouTube Channel, kids learn step-by-step how to draw and you (and they) will be amazed at what they can create.
A YouTube channel that is actually productive for children? What, where?
Art for Kids Hub on Youtube is an amazing channel in which Rob and a child draw a picture, step by step, in simple and easy to understand language and directions. There are tons of videos to choose from so there is something for everyone and all ages.
You can find Art for Kids Hub on Youtube or you can avoid Youtube entirely and check out their website at artforkidshub.com. On the website, you can search the videos by age or what subject and tailor your free art lesson exactly how you want it! There are origami lessons as well. Another option is cutouts which combines drawing and cutting for a more involved project that requires construction paper, scissors, and glue. There are also painting projects as well! They do offer membership for exclusive lessons and for ad-free content but there is more than enough free material it’s not necessary at all. The ads are just the usual ones preceding the video.

Although kids can follow the lessons on their own, it’s also a lot of fun for adults, so learning to draw can also be a great activity to do together as a family. Sometimes my kids (ages 5 and 8) need me to pause the video or go back but otherwise, they do it all themselves. It’s nice that Rob, the adult, draws the picture while a child simultaneously draws it as well so the kids can see that theirs doesn’t have to look exactly like the perfect adult drawing.
I shared this fun activity on my instagram account @fun.in.the.bc and so many people had their kids drawing! It was loved by moms and kids alike and I loved seeing the pictures of all the drawings that the proud kids held up! Go check it out and tag me @fun.in.the.bc so I can see what your kids are drawing!

What my kids say about it:
“It’s hard but fun and I love when my Mom puts it on.”- Caleb, 5 years old
“It teaches people that are horrible drawers to be very good at it, no offense to whoever is bad.”- Noah, 8 years old
“There are never ending options to draw and a great way to entertain yourself when you are bored.”- Kira, 8 years old
Disclaimer: Of course, it’s each parents responsibility to carefully monitor their children when using a site like YouTube.
