Want a classier way to identify your suitcases when traveling? This is a great solution!
Have you ever traveled with a bunch of black suitcases? Amazing Savings duffel bags? And then when you land you realize that everyone’s luggage looks the same? So you end up checking about 40 extra suitcases to see if they’re yours and then decide you’ll do better next time.
Except that next time is while you’re away and who has anything they can use to make their luggage recognizable when they’re traveling? So, yup, you do the same on your way back.
Next time you pack your luggage for a trip, you remember right before you leave the house that you were supposed to find something to make it look different. Time to scramble to find some ribbon, some duct tape – anything!
Or you can try a simpler option. We discovered these luggage wraps that are neat and classy looking. Choose one of several colors and use the same wrap on each of your pieces of luggage. You’ll be able to spot your bags as soon as they come out onto the carousel.
The underside of the wrap has a place to write your name and contact information, but I have my doubts that anyone would open it up to see that it says something. Can’t hurt to fill it out anyway,
but we decided to write the name and phone number on the top of the wrap itself.
(Disclaimer: these photos were taken using a new set because I didn’t want the phone number showing here.)
There are lots of colors available – go as bright as you want!

Travel content is usually posted before the stay-at-home winter break content because it requires more advance planning. But stick around – we have lots of great content coming in the next few days that is for those of us who will be home with our kids over the break.

My ribbons are on my suitcases for years. Quite recognizable to the whole family. They also go to camp. No need to change the system. And yo they are free!!!!!

It is a good idea, I may get them. We do use ribbons, the same one for all suitcases. A bright wide plaid, quite recognizable. I tie one on both the top handle and side, so you can recognize your luggage no matter which way it’s facing. Also can’t hurt to take a picture of the luggages you have, sometimes Mommy is not available to spot and somehow she’s usually the only one to remember what they look like 🙂
