It’s time to start planning your Chanukah games–and this one is super easy to set up, and so much fun to play. Get those prizes ready.
We have lots and lots of Chanukah games here on Between Carpools. But we’re also always ready for a new one. Especially one that works for all ages, from little kids, to teens, and even adults. And especially one that’s so easy to set up and fun to play!
You’ll need some paper plates, some bouncing balls, and some Chanukah “stuff,” like gelt, candles, and dreidels.
One one side of the table, hide some prizes under large cups (not clear!). They can be small prizes, or bigger prizes like cash and gift cards–it all depends on who’s playing!
The prizes can be anything that fits under a cup!
On the other side of the table, set up your plates. There should be an equal amount of plates and cups. You want every cup to have a coordinating plate.
So if you have a gold chocolate coin on a plate, there should be a gold chocolate coin on a cup. If there’s purple candles on a plate, there should be purple candles on a cup. Red dreidel on a plate, red dreidel on a cup. You get it!
Now it’s time to play! Each player lightly tosses a bouncing ball or ping pong ball. Once your ball lands on a plate, you get to pick up the coordinating cup and find your prize!
And, yes, gag prizes are also a possibility!
Cash always works if you can’t get out. That option also makes this game adult-friendly!
You can be as creative with the prizes as you like…they can even include grand prizes or privileges.
