Keep those markers organized and caps on with this smart solution.
Our kids love coloring with markers, but you all know the caveats. After each coloring session, there’s inevitably a marker that ends up with a missing cap. Or, sometimes you only have the cap and find that dried-out marker in some corner days later. That’s if they put the markers away in the first place.
With this hack, you’ll never lose a marker again. They’ll effortlessly stay neat and organized. When there’s one missing, you’ll know immediately. And those caps? They’ll stay put too. All you need is some duct tape.
What’s also nice is that the markers stay organized by shade, so they look nice and it’s easier for them to find just the color they want.
Simply lay a long piece of duct tape, sticky side up. The length of your duct tape depends on the amount of markers in your set.
Place the markers on the duct tape, spacing evenly apart. You want about half of the cap to be stuck to the duct tape.
Fold the duct tape over the marker caps.
Then press the two sides of the duct tape together between the markers.
Ta-da! They’re ready to color. When there’s a marker missing, it’s so clear to see!
It’s even fun to put the markers back where they belong.
You can also roll up the markers to store neatly too.
And they’re all ready to color again.
