Do you hate trying to match socks after a load of laundry? Get frustrated when a sock doesn’t have a pair? That’s now a problem of the past.
Laundry is never fun, but the hardest part might be the socks. Here’s a solution. These mesh bags with colored zippers aren’t just for delicates. Because they come in 5 different colors, you can assign a different color to each family member. Every family member has to put their socks in their bag (clip them to the hamper so there’s no excuse…and if they don’t, well, then they don’t get their sock back).
Socks are so much easier to pair up when each person’s are separate. Washing the socks in a bag also keeps them from getting lost in the wash (one of the mysteries of life). Now that’s a win-win.

Great idea though sorting still takes time. This is how we “do” socks. From when my kids are really little, (say 2) I show them how to roll them together after its worn before placing in the hamper. My extra step before washing, unroll and safety-pin the socks together at the toes, sometimes 2 pairs on a large pin. At age 4-5 they do that step, also. I’ve never had a missing sock and never any rips at the toes, 13 years and counting..

Ordinarily it sounds like a great idea. But, they only sell in sets. One of each size. I don’t exactly need the extra large or even large. Medium and small is good enough. So no, I’ll pass this one.

I tried this a while ago for socks and underwear, and found that they came out of the dryer in a wrinkly, damp ball in the corner is the mesh bag. I would love to find a way to make this work! Advice?
