Pamper your guests with the little details that can make them feel like they’re in a luxury hotel.
During a recent hotel stay, I got a tiny chip in my nail. You know the kind that will snag every sweater and pair of tights you come across unless you fix it asap.
Fortunately, there was a little “vanity kit” in the bathroom that included a little nail file. 30 seconds later, the problem was solved. And as many times as I’ve ignored that little vanity kit, this one time I was very glad it was there.
That night, I took the little paper cover off the glass and filled it with water for the night. (Hotel air is so dry!!) I used the paper cover on the full glass so it wouldn’t be open overnight. And again I thought that I was so glad that there was a little paper cover handy.
Staring at the ceiling with jet lag induced sleeplessness, I decided I wanted to recreate the hotel feeling in my guest rooms. I want to anticipate the little needs my guests might have before they have to ask for a nail file or some q-tips. So I started making note of the little things I enjoy – or would like to have available – when I’m a guest somewhere. Below is my list and I’d love to hear more of your suggestions in the comments!
And while you’re setting up your guest room, read about all the big and small things you can do to make a guest feel more comfortable.

Great ideas! Other things that I keep in my guest bathroom: feminine products, advil/tylenol packets, tums, mini deodorant (mens and womens), band-aids
