You’re about to discover your favorite finds, all in one place!
Here at BCP, we receive lots of personal requests from our readers, every single day. Often, there’s a recipe you’d like to see on BCP, other times, it’s some kind of life solution that you’re searching for. Very frequently, though, it’s a request for personal shopping help.
“Can you recommend an affordable coat for teens…can you give recommendations for good maternity clothing for Yom Tov…can you do a simcha dress roundup?”
It goes on, and on.
Really, we wish we could help. Personal shopping, though, isn’t our thing. Sure, we love great finds and we love making all things easier for you, but BCP isn’t a shopping site. Yes, there’s a little shopping, a lot of recipes, some great hacks, inspiration, and tips. We need to keep it balanced and appeal to a diverse audience. And, you all want and need different things.
It would be nice to have a little sister though. Someone who could be that personal shopper. Someone who did know what was in style, where to find amazing deals, and knew where to look for gorgeous, modest clothing at all price ranges. We found that Little Sister and we’re excited to introduce her to you….
Introducing This/That!
This/That is going to become your best kept secret (but really, don’t keep it a secret!). Whatever you’re looking for–from your Yom Tov tabletop, from affordable to special occasion clothing, to the best tried-and-true basics, to absolutely-anything-you-might-need. You’ll find the little sister that knows in This/That. She’s truly your personal concierge.
You won’t believe what she found for you.

Is it an app or a website?
App would be great
And will there be sponsored content or exclusively tried and true?
Who is running it?
Can we have a name?
Leah Schapira says
An app would be a great idea but at this point it’s website only. An app is a possibility in the future.
Content is curated by the This That team. Like here on Between Carpools, we look forward to earning your trust regarding all content, sponsored or not.

Is this a BCP website or a third party collab?
CS says
I took a look and I saw that the vibe is kind of different than Between Carpools. Some things are cheap but some are very expensive (bag for $1200). I would love to still see the roundup posts as well as nice picks that appeal to the large family/cost conscious reader here on Between Carpools.

Hi just want to offer an idea. When I see the high end items I screenshot it and search it up in google images or Ali express. You can often then find something similar at a better price while still being in style.
CS says
That is very interesting. i wonder if i can figure out how to do that 🙂 Thanks for the tip

I’ve been an avid BCP follower for years now and I’ve probably purchased items from every round up ever featured. I’ve never commented before but I was a bit surprised by this post. I checked out the website and it looks fun, but not for the average ‘BCPer’. I implicitly trust and will purchase without further research any product Victoria or Leah or Renee or any of these wonderful women suggest. As fellow moms trying to bring up frum families, I have found that they are spot on for everything from top backpack for boys to the trending vase for Shabbos. The vibe here is a little off color for me. The first post I clicked on featured skirts with large slits or cut above the knee for women. While there were some items that looked nice, they were missing the commentary and reviews that BCP usually has. I hope this won’t take place of the BCP round-ups we know and love but rather be an additional resource.

I agree. Very Instagram vibe.

The BCP that you know and love isn’t changing. This is an added resource for those who are looking to find some more fashion and decor guidance.

Wow! Beautiful site with magnificent pieces!

Been following their WhatsApp status, and really appreciate their look- mostly for inspiration! Brilliant collaboration!

grea, fun idea, but its not the same standards of BCP. I wouldn’t want my girls to see it as a normal ok site. It’s trying to Kosherizing a lifestyle that’s lacking a Yiddishe Ta’am of Torah lifestyle. I’ve never felt that way with BCP. I’m surprised and disappointed.
BK says
I agree, why can’t BCP stay true to their brand. Keep promoting tznius cloths vs clothes that are….. We don’t realize what an impression we can have on others. Let’s strive for better!

Fine, but promoted by BCP. The “what to wear this week” had some pieces which were not tzinus at all. Skirts with huge slit. Skirts above the knee. Short sleeve dress. Dress with neckline to the waist! Yes they can be sewn up, may work for shorter lady, wear a shell, fine. But it’s an unrefined look. Not what we usually see here. We have all come to rely on BCP to guide us, and this feels like a departure from that. Who are these ladies that are running it? What’s your connection to them? I am sure there are other similar sites and insta places who also promote things (I’m not on any social so just assuming) – why this particular site? I think we’d all like some more clarity and transparency on this topic. Thank you
Brachi says
A lot of times things that are not tznius poeple like to modify for example closing up a slit, wearing a shell. Try to be a little more open minded.
Tehila says
Are these commentators presuming that they’re the avatar client and there’s no other readers? The beauty of BCP is that their followers run the gamut of Judiasm. If you don’t like the post- skip it! Just like some who are gluten free would skip a challah recipe post and wont complain that she can’t benefit from it so why post it?
Sara says
The links on the post for the shabbos table are not working; can you please update those? Thank you!
Rachel says
Yes, I always assumed that the bulk of BCP fans are those living a tznius / Torah lifestyle…. And that BCP is looking to promote that. Wearing on Sunday a sweatshirt with Wording: Fear of god sounds completely off…
Tehila says
Assuming things does not indicate you are correct.
I do not know either the BCP ladies nor the TT ones. But it’s perturbing to note the blatant sliver of arrogance in these comments to assume they’re always speaking to you- or it’s the brilliant marketing of BCP to be able to cater to all, yet give everyone the feeling of being spoken to individually! Regardless- fear of GD is a brand called Essentials- don’t like it, don’t buy it! The same goes for recipes you don’t like, don’t make it… the choice is yours!
etty says
It’s really not the same as recipes. food is food. not a lifestyle. this is promoting a lifestyle that’s not on the standards that BCP has ever shown before. I think its fun to look at, and has pretty ideas. and if its not my taste, its ok, i wont buy it. however if BCP is promoting it, it just doesn’t fit the standards and sensitivities that have been kept up all these years.
Tehila says
Kosher foods have standards too. If I don’t use leaves due to infestation, or king arther flour due to yoshon, does that invalidate a post that caters to others who consume those foods?
This is not to negate that tznius standards are definitely more personal, and where at times one feels the “necessity” to access others according to their own standards.
Nevertheless, have you never closed a slit? Layered a shell? Taken down a hem?
Also, it’s always nicer to private email complaints rather then post it on a public forum.

There’s a simple solution 🙂
I’m sure everyone would appreciate more inspo for elevated tznius fashion. No matter your level, we can all always use more of that. And who knows, perhaps there will be some who will find it easier to take the next step in their tznius commitment by seeing options that will still allow them to look beautiful and fashion forward. This website still seems to be in the beginning stages, hoping we’ll see more “goals” worthy items.

Love this site they have such great stuff!
Rachel says
Tehila, u have a point. My assumption doesn’t make me correct. I just felt like sharing my humble opinion…. I’ll enjoy the site and filter it according to my standards (like I’m used to do when browsing Zara …). I love the ralph inspired room & look forward to seeing more interior design inspo!
Charna says
Been a follower of This/That from the beginning! Great stuff at all price points and tznius levels. Love this collab!
Devora says
Not so impressed myself 🙁 We love BCP but this is definitely a change from the Brand Image they have been keeping up for the last few years. Much edgier and missing the taste that they usually have.
Mira says
I’m confused. Reading through posts the author says “I refresh my kitchen, I love xyz, I think…” but we don’t get to know who “I” is?! What’s the big secret? Is this the BCP team or someone else? Or part of the team? Links to products are great, but if you’re going to write “I” please say who “I” is… otherwise its kinda creepy 🙂
Miriam says
Wondering the same… would love a bit more transparency.
Faigy says
Had the same feeling 🙂 doesn’t get me interested in following in the future.
