How to Become a Sourdough Master

Are you curious about sourdough? Want to learn how to bake this healthful bread? Sourdough expert Chaya Suri Leitner, of Spice and Zest, has created a course that will turn you into a master. Start now!

About seven years ago, Chaya Suri Leitner saw a photo of a beautiful loaf of bread with the caption “Sourdough.”

“I needed to make that bread! I considered it a challenge and I like a challenge.
I started researching and Googling, but there wasn’t so much information out there. I began experimenting on my own based on the bits and pieces of information I had found. I tried and failed and tried again and failed.”

But during her research into this unique method of baking bread, Chaya Suri also learned that baking sourdough was about more than simply learning how to make bread. Sourdough was also a health solution.

“When I read that sourdough was actually healthy, my determination to succeed intensified. I read what one mom wrote about how switching to sourdough had helped her family’s health. Her experiences seemed similar to mine. At the time, my son had been suffering constantly from strep, and other members of the family were experiencing other painful ailments. So, I decided to change my family’s diet as a way to help. I knew sourdough could be an answer because it’s a fermented food. Wheat does have good vitamins and minerals, but our bodies are busy breaking down the gluten, so the vitamins and minerals aren’t absorbed. In sourdough, the gluten is already broken down, so the body absorbs the good stuff right away and gets rid of the junk.”

Chaya Suri was adamant to get it right.

“And I promised myself, I will help people be able to bake sourdough bread right away.”

And Now She’s Filling That Promise

About four years ago, a woman reached out to Chaya Suri on Instagram “I heard you make sourdough. Can you teach me? I’m gluten intolerant.” (Although sourdough bread is not gluten-free, many with gluten intolerances can tolerate it).

That’s when Chaya Suri saw the huge demand. There were so many others who wanted to learn what she had taught herself over a period of a few years.

“I was hesitant, but then I took the plunge and hosted my very first sourdough workshop over four years ago. I created a process that allows me to keep it simple and prevent the typical overwhelming feelings that arise when faced with lots of new and detailed information.”

Today, after teaching over a thousand students through her live workshops, Chaya Suri has launched the ultimate sourdough baking course. This takes it to the next level! Learn more about the Sourdough Workshop here. There’s no need to travel anywhere and you can take the course anywhere at anytime…on your schedule.

“The response has been amazing. People have told me they’ve tried and tried to make it, they’ve even watched YouTube videos and read books, but nothing made the process so clear like this course has,” Chaya Suri tells me.
