When Purim falls out on a Friday, including flowers for Shabbos in a mishloach manos is always a special touch.
Some of us have been doing flowers for years as mishloach manos (when something works and presents so beautifully, you stick to it!). We include 2 foods along with it, but the floral aspect is always so appreciated. And that’s especially so when Purim falls out on erev Shabbos. Wrapping up the flowers so that they’re portable, though, is always hard.
Packaging that’s made special for flowers is a great solution and here are some that work!
These are beautiful. But maybe this post is more appropriate for Shavuos? I think we get so involved in themes and packaging that sometimes we forget the mitzva – giving food. Just some food for thought (pardon the pun)
I did this last time Purim was on a Friday thanks to BCP and everyone really enjoyed it. My kids dressed up as gardeners, we gave out press cookies in shape of a flower and a liquor. Everyone really appreciated the flowers – thank you for the idea!
I just want to add that you don’t even have to give a full bouquet, we bought bunches of mini roses, cut the stems shorter and made cute small bouquets and it still looked nice and presentable.
Love this idea!!! But how do these bags work? Do you need flower foam to hold the arrangement?
How can I keep the flowers fresh? Will I have to pack it on Purim day?
Wondering the same. Please advise.
Also a lot of these links are incorrect
How do you wrap it all up the flowers with the food?
