Want to cut down on the thousands of images clogging up your phone? This method helps you do it quickly and painlessly.
Years and years, thousands and thousands – how do you go through your full camera roll and eliminate all the junk?
The answer we came up with is one date at a time. Not day, date.
Once a day, go into your camera roll and search for the current date (month and day). It’ll bring up every picture and screenshot from that date each year of your camera roll.

Now take a trip down memory lane and go through those images. It’s fun to look back at the yearly changes – (10 years ago I ran 10 straight miles for the first time, 8 years ago was my son’s first at-home siyum, 6 years ago a toothless girl got her first siddur…) and it’s a manageable number of pictures to go through and delete the garbage.
Best part – there’s no pressure. If you miss a day, don’t worry – you’ll catch it next year on that date. There’s no finish line or end date – just take it a day at a time and take control of that camera roll!
And while you’re at it, check out some ways you can use your camera photo roll to help organize some of your life! And now that your pictures are organized, here are some ways you can have fun with them – off the screen!
This is brilliant! First time I’ve come across a tip that’s so manageable. Thanks! Already down 150 photos
This is obsessive! Thank you so much!
Thank you for this brilliant suggestion! Such a smart way to narrow down the process and make it more simple to go through
