How to Play Geltello…That’s Othello with Some Chanukah Gelt!

I love planning fun family games for our Chanukah parties and last year I came up with this twist on the classic game of Othello!

To Make:

Purchase gold and silver chocolate gelt coins of the same size. Glue or tape the coins together so that you have double-sided coins. You will need 64 coins total.

Prepare a board by drawing an 8×8 table with 64 squares. You can also make a smaller board, and adjust the coins accordingly.

The Goal of the Game:

Each player is allocated one of the colors. The goal for each player is for a majority of the pieces to be in their color at the end of the game.
