The BCP picks and recommendations for labeling up your camper, plus a coupon code!
When you’re sending a child to camp for the first time, you’re going to ask: what type and how many labels do I need? We’ve got our Label Land favorites!
And use code BETWEENCARPOOLS for 10% off your order!

Here are the BCP pointers: Most of us no longer use iron-ons (Leah still likes them for socks and other items that don’t have a tag). We love the Stick n’ Wear labels for most items. Just stick them on the care tags and you’re good to go!

For the most part, we find that the Stick n’ Wear Labels do stay on well enough for most items

even when they’re not on a care tag as instructed.

For items like socks and underwear that don’t have a tag, we prefer a stamp (note that some kids do not want their name on underwear. Do you want someone to return a pair of lost underwear?).

The stamp is also great for boys’ undershirts.

And here are the new stamps from Label Land! And here’s the premium version! Super super cute. The stamps are adorable and so giftable! We generally like to have a family stamp to keep things simple – especially when you might pass something down, but these cute stamps are way more fun when personalized.

They also work well if you have similarly sized kids to tell their stuff apart at home. We’re also thinking kids would love them for school supplies.

The waterproof labels are great for all the “things” – including cameras and water shoes. We like to stick them under the upper part of the Crocs/Natives/Floafers and they stay put.

How much will you need? Many camp items get reused from year to year, so returning campers won’t need as many labels because a lot of their stuff will be labeled from the year before – towels, caddies, flashlights etc. This is what we recommend:

First Time Camper:
1 Stamp
120 Stick n’ Wear
2 sheets of Assorted Waterproof Labels
100 Iron-On, optional if desired (that’s the minimum)
And check this out! Label Land created a bundle for first time campers, based on our recommendations! You can fill out the information one time for all four products – no need to type it all in again and again. And you do have the option to remove any single item from the bundle, too. Doesn’t get easier!
Returning Camper:
90 Stick n’ Wear
1 sheet Mini Waterproof Labels
With optional stamp add-on if they don’t already have one.
Do the stick on labels work for black socks? I tried the sticky dots but they came off after a few washes
The company doesn’t guarantee any sticker labels for direct fabric application, they are made for clothing tags. The stick n’ wear (“stikins”) will stick to fabric most of the time anyways though. They sell iron on dots for the purpose you’re looking for.
I have their labels… they fall off the tags as well… they’re good for bikes and scooters not clothing…
