These little honey dishes for each person look great and keep the table neater–plus there’s no worries about double dipping!!
Most of us love honey. And the Rosh Hashanah table is all about the honey!
But what about the tablecloth? (The one in these images is “Paris” from Adorn.)
Most of us have a honey dish in which we dip the apples and challah. But getting the dripping goodness back to each place setting can cause some sticky messes.
A few years ago, we received these little gold apple shaped honey dishes as a gift. After one Rosh Hashanah seudah with these at each place setting, there’s no turning back to the communal honey pot.
We put together a variety of options that can work as individual honey dishes
– even if they’re not shaped like apples!
Bonus: use them all year for dips and sauces. Instantly elevated dish!

This is a cute idea. But wow even more things to wash over a 3 day Yom Tov? And sticky as well. I don’t have cleaning help to take care of that, so we use small nice plastic plates. My husband puts the challa on each plate, drizzles honey, and passes it around. Then we pass around a platter of cut apple slices, people take one and dip it in the honey left on the plate. If they want more honey/challa during the meal, the honey dish is passed and they put some on their plate. Neat and clean and no washing.

We put honey in schnapps cups on personal simanim plates and the kids feel very special having their own honey.
