Pipe & Dash Churro Waffle Dessert

We got creative with Pipe & Dash’s new pipable churro batter and had lots of delicious fun.

First, we’ll show you the results right here in the beginning so we don’t need to keep you in suspense. It’s these churro waffles and if you’re looking for a perfect, easy, mess-free dessert to wrap up your summer entertaining, well this is it.

We started out with these churro batters. It’s best to keep them frozen but note that they take a long time to defrost. We found they needed at least 5 hours on the counter to thaw. We moved them to the fridge the night before and thawed for another couple hours on the counter.

Now, you already know that this churro batter works when fried, of course, and they’re even delicious when air-fried, as we tested and shared in this post. But we’re not up to Chanukah yet. First, we’re thinking summer. And summer means perhaps we’ll try the Betty? or a waffle maker?

We tried both and the waffle-maker was the obvious winner. We loved the results. Super delicious. Effortless, with a total homemade look, feel, and taste. See how we simply piped those swirls onto each corner of the waffle maker? Since we’re only piping small bits of batter in swirls, you can make this on ANY size or shape waffle maker. And–it will look amazing even if every one is a bit different.

The flavors of batter are all fun (we liked the original best for the classic churro flavor) and the packaging is so fun to use.

They’re ready in minutes, fresh and hot.

To make this a complete dessert, serve them with some fruit and vanilla ice cream. You can also mix up the churro flavors and offer a variety–serve one of each flavor.

Like all good churros, these do need to be coated in sugar and cinnamon after cooking. Sprinkle on the cinnamon/sugar right away when warm if you’ll be serving at room temperature. Or, if you’re making these ahead and you plan to rewarm, you can sprinkle on the cinnamon/sugar fresh.

We’re adding some fruit sauce on our ice cream too, something like to contrast our churros waffles.

Here they are! We know you’ve seen Pipe & Dash in your local freezer, and now you have a great easy dessert to try. Enjoy!
