If you have a round table in your dinette, this shower-cap style tablecloth is so, so practical when the table is covered all week long. It wipes clean SO much more easily than a tablecloth that has a hang on the side. Plus, it’s tight to your table and stays much more securely so it’s a neater look overall.
This is actually a great hack. Although the sizing won’t work for your actual dining room table, the full/queen size of this velvet quilt is almost a perfect 90 inch square, which is a great size for 60-inch square or round dinette tables. We’ve used this for kitchen tables and it washes beautifully and is tried and true. The sizing won’t work as well if you have a longer or thinner table.
Perfect for the Endless Washing of Pesach Dishes. And boy is it a good one!
Shaindy uses this pretty Mezzaluno to chop, chop, chop the charoset. It’s super functional and the fact that it’s pretty too makes the job all the more enjoyable! There’s a lower priced version of the wood chopping board (with a flatter surface) available here.
For peeling items with a thin peel, you need a serrated peeler, and the one made by OXO is excellent.
If you don’t use sink water/an ice machine over Pesach and need to make ice using bottled water, this is super convenient because you can empty the ice into the bin and keep making more ice. There’s no need to wait until the tray is empty to make more.
If you’re packing up and will be elsewhere for Pesach, whether it’s your in-laws, your sister, or a hotel, we know that clothing storage space will be at a premium. These make it easy to unpack. Your clothing will already be neatly folded, just hang and you’re set. For a small family (1-2 kids and adults, you will likely need two of them), but when going away for a Shabbos, one is great.
Love the idea of the vinyl tablecloth.
I have a different ice cube tray with bin and found them to be impractical. It makes so little at a time, and since it’s on the lid of the container, you can’t take ice from the bin if the tray isn’t fully frozen. The concept is great but I would just use a standard ice cube tray with a shoebox size plastic bin.
Does the blade for the chopping bowl stay sharp enough for fine salad and vegetable chopping?
I love that elasticised tablecloth! Is there an option for rectangular tables. I am always looking for a good tablecloth for my kitchen…
love the round vinyl tablecloth, but need a bigger size!
