This easy-to-create place cards is the perfect finishing touch to your beautiful Shavuos table.
Recently, a reader contacted us and asked, “When is your Shavuos table setting going live? I’m waiting for it to plan my table!”
One member of the BCP team asked the others, “She’s waiting for ours? But they’re so simple!”
Another one of us responded, “Yes! It’s because they’re simple, and approachable, but still beautiful. I also use them as inspiration.”
Ok, so here’s the details!
We’re going to start with this place card idea. They’re the easiest DIY place cards ever, but so pretty!. Back in 2020, you learned how to make a wax seal in this post. But did you know that you can buy wax seals ready-made, complete with the adhesive on the back?
We used these Taupe Wax Seal Stickers on an Ivory 3×5 Card stock and added a piece of Frayed Ribbon. Anyone can do this!
Write the names first on the bottom of each card. This way, if you mess up you can throw out the card.
Take a piece of ribbon
and place it folded on the card.
Add the sticker to affix it.
There’s so many pretty wax seal stickers to choose from (we rounded up a few floral inspired picks below).
We love when a setting works with any white cloth–it just makes it so much more practical for everyone else.
Here’s the rest of the details: The tablecloth featured is the Birds Tablecloth from Adorn (perfect for Shavuos). The embroidery is so, so pretty. We don’t have the coordinating napkins, but you can find them here. If you want to stick with whites, there’s lots of new gorgeous options! See the Kenzie for another embroidered look. For the place setting, we used the Lux Coupe Round plates in Clay! Love this new color. It’s like a happier version of taupe. Clay Appetizer Plate + Clay Dinner Plate + Matrix Collection Gold Flatware.
The stemless wine glasses are available here. They’re a great find–the color makes this table, but because they’re neutral, they’ll work with other colors of plates too (you’ll see below). We’ve already used them personally on tables with a few different looks. And the price is nice too. They’re complimented by these Amber bud vases.
Here’s another place card idea–this one was inspired by Shiffy Weinfeld’s place cards first featured in this post.
We just used some dried floral instead of the real along with this blue frayed ribbon. The names were made using the Phomemo label maker.
So pretty! The plates are the Luxe Round Coupe in Ice Blue with the coordinating flatware.
