Don’t know what to do first when entering the job market? Career Coach Faige Katz is here to get you, your son, or your daughter started with three tips: find more information about Faige and Career360 here.
The house is full again! Your son is back from Yeshiva, or your daughter is back from seminary. Amidst all the hugging and laundry, there’s a big decision coming up that you’re both thinking about. And although he could just go for computers and she could just do medical billing, picking a career shouldn’t be a ‘just do!’ So, where to start? Faige Katz, career coach and Highlands Certified Consultant, will get you started on your path with her top three tips.
- ‘It’s not about finding a good field, it’s about finding the right field for you,’ explains Faige. ‘Yes, you can make a great parnassah in computers/accounting/nursing homes, but if the job you pick doesn’t fit your skill set or doesn’t match your personality, you’re setting yourself up for failure. When working with clients, I assess their talents, interests, passions, and so much more. And when their interests line up with their talents, well, that’s where the magic happens.’
- ‘It’s not about what your friends are doing! Each person is created differently, with different talents and strengths, coming from different places and having had different life experiences. And because of that, we’re all going to accomplish different things. That’s a good thing!’
- ‘Last thing I want you to know? There are so, so many careers out there that you never even considered! Whether you want a degree or don’t want to go to college, there are so many opportunities for people to gain the skills they’ll need to be successful in the career of their choice. Sometimes, it’s just a matter of knowing what they are.’
Your son or daughter is ready to join the workforce: why not help them find the career track best suited for them? Working with Faige Katz of Career360 will help them be fully armed with all the information they need to make the best decision. Faige works with her clients to help them find the best education, mentors, and job opportunities. ‘Career Coaching is a one-time investment into a, be’ezras Hashem, long-term career.’
