Learn hair styling tips for little girls and make these adorable twist buns.
If you enjoyed the first part of this post, How to Style Little Girls’ Hair, Part 1: Perfect Pigtails and Flip Buns, you’re ready to learn another adorable style.
This time, it’s the twist bun. We loved this style when Rochella showed us, because it’s simple and easy to create, yet it’s special enough for a simcha too!
Just like in this post, separate the part all the way from the top to the bottom of the head. If your daughter’s part is not naturally even, you can use the metal pick end of the comb to move hairs to either side so you have a straight line.
Make the pigtails as low as possible as instructed in our pigtail post,
using a double ponytail holder to secure them. See this post for more detailed pigtail instructions.
To make the twist buns,
start by twisting the actual ponytail counter-clockwise.
Then, once the ponytail is in a twist, loop it counter-clockwise around the ponytail holder.
Secure it with a double ponytail holder.
Repeat with the other pigtail. And that’s it!

Just wondering–do these bows need to be checked for shatnez?

Highlighting that the twist bun is “simple and easy to create” is appealing to busy parents or caregivers. Mentioning its suitability for a special occasion (“simcha”) adds to its versatility.
