How to Collect and Organize Mini Erasers

Even mom will fall in love with this collection because it’s just so cute!

This is one collection that even mom will be excited about.

There’s something about cute mini things that’s just irresistible. I approve of this one way more than other Recess Trends they’ve been into over the years. (Other than Rubik’s Cubes maybe. That one is good for the brain and doesn’t entail buying so many things.)

Eraser Collections are just so, so cute. Kids enjoy trading, organizing, taking them apart, putting them back together, and reorganizing them.

The truth is, I let my daughters start collecting erasers because I needed a bedtime incentive.

When else could a 20 cent item get them so excited?

I had started off with this pack of 100 erasers for $17. Super cute.

“Whoever goes to bed gets an eraser!” Oh, do they run. There’s a bonus for brushing teeth/bath or shower. (So far, they’re all turning out ok despite my lack of real bedtime skills.) Of course, you can leverage them as needed in your own home.

For a long time, teachers have been using cute mini erasers as prizes, and now that they have a collection, those little prizes are even more exciting!

When a neighbor’s child saw that I was using erasers as prizes as home, she asked her mother if she could also earn erasers. A little while later, I saw her walking around my house with her erasers in this case.

“That’s so cool. What is that?”

“It’s a tackle box. My sister had an idea to organize erasers in this.”

Her sister is in 5th grade. I thought it was brilliant. So, I ordered this 3 pack of the same type of boxes for my own little girls and gave it to them one night of Chanukah. They were so excited and got very busy organizing. That’s part of the fun.

Back to our erasers. There are a bunch of great sources where you can get the cutest erasers at really good prices. The best value is to get the bulk packs on Amazon of 72, 100, or more mini pull-apart erasers for around $15-20. Note that each of these packages have mostly the same type of erasers, so it doesn’t matter which one you get.

When you want more unique erasers, you can get Japanese Iwako eraser sets (some cute ones are highlighted below) also on Amazon, like this cute School Accessory Set. Can you handle the little stapler, tape dispenser, and pencil sharpener?

There’s also some different ones on Temu (note that the bulk packs are not cheaper vs. Amazon).

There’s some more unique (but more expensive) erasers from some Etsy sellers. This is one of the shops on Etsy. that has some cute ones (they are based in Japan so shipping takes a little time).

These gumball machines and popcorn sets are too cute (also available as part of the Sweet Set below).

Or the babies. Can’t even.

Here are some favorites.

Teachers and Rabbis catch onto this trend, way better than handing out sweets!

I second this! I always say, I wish I could call up the rebbi at the start of the school year and offer to sponsor a yrs worth of prizes. Nosh is much cheaper so I get it, but maybe this will work…? I actually stock up on these (and other little prizes) to send in for siyumim. The kids love getting these tchochkes and I love one less candy coming home 🙂
