Orange Creamsicle Ice Cream

We all need these easy, refreshing dessert hacks in the summertime.

This one is vintage.

It’s exactly the kind of dessert you want to start making and serving right about now. For us, this is a long time family favorite.

How long? Do you remember these containers of orange juice concentrate? Yes, you might need to go further than your local kosher grocery to get them, but once you’re there, you may want to buy a few cans (or put it on your Instacart list).

It’s easy, yummy, and has that summer vibe.

You’ll need one can Tropicana Orange Juice from Concentrate and a container of Abe’s Royal Vanilla pareve ice cream. Both should be slightly defrosted, just like you see in the picture.

Just swirl them together (in any bowl or container, that’s your choice)!

Then serve. It’s great on it’s own, but you can certainly top it if you like (we’re thinking vanilla cookie crumbs like in our Frozen Raspberry Bar Ice Cream).

You can definitely refreeze! Just make a big batch and keep it in the freezer for whenever the mood strikes…

I would try 12 oz. of B&D orange juice concentrate. Note: Be sure to use concentrate (the smaller can) not syrup.

I made it with Nestle parve ice cream in Israel. Use pri katif orange juice concentrate. The results were amazing! Everyone loved it. Was so refreshing. Served it with some warm summer fruits.

I’m having a hard time finding orange juice concentrate… Is there any way to freeze and use regular orange juice or it’ll be too mild? Thanks!

I only see the minute maid brand locally now. I’m assuming its interchangable? Or does anyone know if Tropicana is better?
    Thanks
