Once it gets hot out, I really like to wear minimal makeup. Instead of a lipstick, I like to switch it up to something sheer or a gloss and these are my top eight I’m loving now. You can find at least one of them in my pocketbook at all times.
Clinique
This is such a great product. Pink honey is a natural pink tone and it’s not as heavy as a lipstick but has more color payoff than a balm.
Summer Fridays
This lip balm is a favorite for its sheer tint that feels super hydrating.
Laneige
This Lip Serum has super high shine without feeling very sticky. Smells delicious, too!
Tower 28
Smooth, not very sticky and lasts quite nicely for a lip gloss.
Maybelline
This is a long-lasting lipstick, but I like to use it in a very sheer thin layer and when almost dry, add a gloss so you get a gloss look but with more longevity. So Pearly Pink is a sheer pink that’s a nice soft summer color under gloss.

Oh, and this Glow Reviver is amazing and trending this summer! A lip oil (dupe for Dior) a really hydrating thinner gloss…heaven. Also available at Ulta.
L'Oreal Paris
This one is sold as a lipstick but it’s pretty sheer and more of a gloss. I love the sparkling rose shade. It’s a “my lips but better” kind of vibe.

My hands down favorite gloss. This looks pretty on its own but it’s also so, so pretty over any lipstick or long last lip stain. (Some lipglosses have ingredients that breakdown the ingredients in long last lipsticks and cause it to crumble. I do not find that with the Buxom gloss. It layers nicely) White Russian sparkle is a soft nude pink and softens any lip color and adds a beautiful shine and sparkle.
If you’re not into sparkle try the White Russian lip cream. It’s the same idea with no shimmer. I love both. Shop it on amazon here.

My favorite for everyday.
It plumps up dry lips instantly and makes lips so soft and a gorgeous shine. A super natural color. Perfect for a summer “no makeup” makeup look
FENTY BEAUTY by Rihanna
So, so pretty for dressy. A little goes a long way. Apply a bit to the center of the lip and pat lips together to spread.
Maybelline lip plumping gloss in moonlight is a stunning dupe for Fenty. Lovely alone or over lipstick.
Does the Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb have a nice color of its own, or is it sheer color meant to be worn over lipstick?
What about the Gloss Bomb Cream Color Drip Lip? Is that the same product with more color? If you’ve tried it and like it, are there any pretty colors in that?
