Do You Wash Tons of Dishes Over Pesach? This May Help

Protect your hands and get the dishes really sudsy by using bristled gloves.

Because many of us don’t use our dishwashers over Pesach, besides for the fact that there’s a lot of cooking crammed into a short period of time, the dishwashing chore is definitely intensified over Pesach.

Last Pesach, this bar mat was a game changer for us–nope, no more wet dish towels or paper towels sitting on the counter. We are very thankful to our readers for always clueing us into products which help make their lives easier!

At some point this past winter, my friend Sylvana Haber told me about these dishwashing gloves.

During the cold winter months on long Friday nights, there were endless mugs being used from all the endless teas, and she didn’t like to leave them there–but that meant washing dishes when the water is really freezing. She needed a solution and picked up these gloves.

“You can barely feel the water and soaping up the glove itself makes the process much faster. Highly recommend!”

The truth is, when we saw Sylvana’s idea, it wasn’t so much the winter cold that bothered us. Perhaps we’d just throw those mugs in the dishwasher after Shabbat. When I shared this product idea with the team, though. we all had the same thought: PESACH.

Do your hands get really dry from all the dishwashing? This might be the game changer. Note that many people don’t like using gloves because it feels bulky, so it might not be the solution for you.

Another great dish washing hack is to get a soap pump such as the one you use in your bathroom…. really makes the job more efficient. I have the Ikea cheap glass bathroom one and love it

Be careful when handling knives and sharp items. These rip very fast.

Can they be used on shabbos and yom tov?

note: on Shabbos you are only supposed to wash dishes if you have in mind to use them again on Shabbos-not simply to clear the coast…

Btw Bingo carries these gloves. I’ve been using them on Shabbos/Yom Tov for years.

Someone wrote you can only wash if you need, Reb Shrag8 Kallus said you can wash also if it bothers you to see the mess.
