These are the real food mishloach manos your recipients are guaranteed to open and enjoy pronto.
We all crave real food on Purim, but for some reason, food (as opposed to sweets) is so much harder to package. We needed a solution (and assumed you’d like one too) that still looks neat and classy (and these are loads of fun to eat and give too).
We found these cute containers from Go Cube that come with perfect inserts (we also used this medium size and there’s lots of other options too). You can either fill the non-perishables ahead of time, or fill the whole thing and keep them stacked neatly in the fridge, ready to go!
All you need is a custom sticker (shown are the 3-inch versions) and you’re set! How easy was that?
Here’s some ideas of how to fill them.
- On the bottom: Yogurt and little spoon. On the top: Mix-in like granola, mango, blueberries, and strawberries.
2. On the bottom: Tortilla chips. On the top: Mango salsa, guacamole, and salsa.
3. On the bottom: Crackers. On the top: Matbuch, chummus, carrots, and celery.
4. On the bottom: Spinach, tomatoes, and mushrooms. On the top: Cucumbers, feta cheese, croutons, and dressing.
This is brilliant! Love
any ideas for pretty economical spoon to place next to yogurt?
These look like they would fit the bill. http://amzn.to/2Cu8R4c
Thanks!
Do regular Greek yogurts fit into the medium sized ones ?
Which size fits a greek yogurt? 24/32 oz?
All the inserts are the same size for all sizes. It’s about 1 inch deep.
32 oz is 3.4 inches deep without the insert and the 24 oz is 2.9 inches deep without the insert.
For the yogurt it’s best to take the 32 oz and use the yogurt we used in the photo so that it fits inside.
For the salad option, should I do 32oz or 24oz?
It would depend on what kind of salad you are planning. See the previous comment for measurement sizes.
Done this container for two years and keep getting compliments. Love the versatility!
Anyone know where to find these containers?
They are linked above.
The 24 oz are not available anymore. Anywhere else to get them?
