Kitchen Tools in Kosher Colors

Who knew that big brands sometimes make keeping a kosher kitchen easier with utensils in many colors?

For quite a few years, I’ve been using this microplane on the dairy side of my kitchen. Besides for zesting lemons, I love the microplane for shaving a fluffy pile of parmesan. And every time I needed to zest a lemon or grate some ginger for a fleishig dish, I’d get annoyed about my subpar zester. I decided to check if the microplane comes in any color besides black so I could get the exact same thing.

Microplane in red and black

I had no idea it comes in a rainbow of colors! Any color you want to match your kitchen – or in our case – to differentiate between meat, dairy or pareve!

That made me think about so many items we might love in our kitchen, but only on one side. We had already written in the past about these Dash griddles that come in blue and red, but what else is out there?

Well, the OG Betty Crocker now comes in silver and white, so you can easily have separate ones for meat and dairy!

Spring Chef Stainless Steel Magnetic Measuring Spoons Sets in Black and Multicolor

These measuring spoons that we love come in lots of color sets including blue, red, or green.

Umite Chef Mixing Bowls in Khaki and Black

These mixing bowls don’t come in the classic kosher colors, but there are several distinct color options – I have a set of black and a set of khaki.

These silicone basting pastry brushes come with all the colors you’d want – in one package!

We discussed our favorite immersion blenders in this post, and there are a couple of options that come in multiple colors.

Nordic Ware Naturals Nonstick Half Sheet - one stainless and one gold

While you can mark your sheet pans like we did in this post, you can also get these gold colored ones to differentiate between meat and dairy.

In our guide to pots and pans, we mention the Tramontina stainless steel pots we love. Costco sells a set in a brushed stainless steel that’s the same  – but different looking enough that I can use those for dairy.

And the Hast knives we love also come in different colors or finishes. We recommend a chef’s knife and a paring knife in two different colors – or get the polished stainless and the brushed stainless so you can tell them apart. (We reached out to them for a promo to go with this post and they set up a special discount when you buy two of the same style knife, you get 50% off the second! Good through the end of February.)

Do you have any other favorite kitchen tools that come in multiple colors? Share with us in the comments below!

I’m a little confused by this post. I don’t typically look for the exact same product in dairy and meat, my preference would be to use two totally different products. There’s so much good stuff out there, it’s usually not a problem.

I guess that’s what works for you and that’s great! Sometimes we have a product we love and enjoy having the same functionality and quality on both sides of the kitchen. If it’s easy to tell them apart, why not? That’s what this post is about.

I hear! For me it would have to be a super special product to justify that set up. I like variety and it’s easier to not mix things up

Courant sells pizza makers in 2 sizes, in 4 diff colours. No need for toivelling either.
Amazon has sets of silicone kitchen utensils in different colours, esp good for someone just starting out or setting up a Pesach kitchen. Or just wanting a nice new set of utensils.
