First, they brought us the first-ever Jewish leveled readers. Then they gave grandparents an opportunity to excite and connect to their grandchildren via The Jewish Book Box. And, now, children can watch free Zoom classes! (Watch LIVE here). It’s education with entertainment at its best.
When kids can’t go to school to learn, books can be the solution. When reading some of their favorites stories, kids don’t even realize they’re learning at the same time!
We all know the importance of keeping up with consistent reading for young children. A month off of reading can cause a serious setback in reading skills. But the good thing is that as long as they’re provided with the right books on their level, most children will be happy to keep reading – and even progress their reading skills – when they’re at home.
Menucha Publishers has never been more relevant to parents at home. They have a curated selection of books – both Jewish and secular – all sorted by level. It’s very important to provide books at the right level so that a child isn’t frustrated by difficulty, and also not bored when a book is too simple. Give your child a few books at his current level and watch as he progresses to the next level, and maybe even more, before he even goes back to school!
To make reading even more exciting, Menucha offers The Jewish Book Box! You can enroll in the program, select the reading level your child is at, and Menucha will select 2-5 books they’ll deliver each month! Kids love getting packages in the mail and this is the kind of package that’s exciting for everyone. If you’re a grandparent who cannot spend time with your grandchildren right now, The Jewish Book Box is a great way to share some love from afar. After your grandchildren receive their books, have them call you and discuss what they’ve read. Books can build such great conversations!
To really encourage reading in our children now, Menucha has also put together a full day of Zoom classes for children of different ages and levels with some of their favorite authors and storytellers! Kids can “meet” and interact with these men and women who have such passion for child literacy. This really brings the books to life and makes them so much more special!
