Once it gets hot out, I really like to wear minimal makeup. Instead of a lipstick, I like to switch it up to something sheer or a gloss and these are my top ten I’m loving now. You can find at least one of them in my pocketbook at all times.

This is a long-lasting lipstick, but I like to use it in a very sheer thin layer and when almost dry, add a gloss so you get a gloss look but with more longevity. So Pearly Pink is a sheer pink that’s a nice soft summer color under gloss. Currently sold out on Amazon, but available at Walmart and Ulta.

This has got to be one of my favorites. It’s an easy perfect pinky nude that works with almost all skin types. It’s not super long lasting but it’s so easy to reapply. It’s also at a great price point.

This one is sold as a lipstick but it’s pretty sheer and more of a gloss. I love the sparkling rose shade. It’s a “my lips but better” kind of vibe.

My hands down favorite gloss. This looks pretty on its own but it’s also so, so pretty over any lipstick or long last lip stain. (Some lipglosses have ingredients that breakdown the ingredients in long last lipsticks and cause it to crumble. I do not find that with the Buxom gloss. It layers nicely) White Russian sparkle is a soft nude pink and softens any lip color and adds a beautiful shine and sparkle.

So, so pretty for dressy. A little goes a long way. Apply a bit to the center of the lip and pat lips together to spread.

Try lining and filling lips with a soft nude brown color lipliner and patting some of this in the center of lips.

Best long lasting lipstick is Maybelline Super Stay Matte Ink. I’ve tried them all – this is the one. I love Heroine for the summer – it’s a bright, pinky orange, almost neon. Looks great on many skin tones!
