How to Easily Remove Scuff Marks from Shoes

For regular or patent leather, all you need is one household item to remove all those pesky black scuff marks in seconds.

You get some black marks on those light colored shoes and you think they’ll never look good again.

But it’s really easy to get them off without damaging the leather.

Nail polish remover. Yup, that’s the whole trick.

If you have polish on your nails and don’t want to mess up your manicure, or if there are just a couple of simple black lines, just dip a q-tip into a capful of polish remover and rub over the marks.

They’ll be erased like magic!

For a very scuffed shoe, use a cotton round soaked in nail polish remover and rub all over the shoe.

I use rubbing alcohol for this! It works well but I once did it on a painted wooden boot sole and it took off the paint. On leather and rubber it’s great tho

Any tips on how to clean wood floors that have been heavily scuff-marked? Without having to scrub each mark individually…
