The whole family will have a blast at this mall (even if they all want to pick their own activities!)
What’s your checklist for a family trip on Chanukah look like?
Looking for something indoor? Check.
Looking for something fun? Check.
Looking for something exciting? Check.
Looking for something kid friendly? Check.
Looking for something teen friendly? Guess what? You can check that off too.
I’m sure you get the gist. No, there is not one magical attraction that suits everyone’s palate, but there is one amazing mall that in addition to all the great shopping there are so many fun attractions to visit. Something for everyone. And if the big ones and little ones can’t come to an agreement of what to do, you always have the option of splitting up since it is all in the same mall. With the location only 20 minutes from Monsey, less than an hour away from the Brooklyn Bridge and an hour and a half away from Lakewood, the location is a great one to meet up with friends and family to spend an amazing day.
Although I experienced most of the attractions in the Palisades Mall, I did not experience them all. Below I will share my experiences and mention the places that I have not been to so that you know all your options.

Fourth Floor Attractions:
While shopping at the Palisades Mall, you can’t help but stop and watch the people enjoying a challenging climb in the center of the mall on the indoor ropes course, an 85 foot adventure climbing course.
The Palisades Adventure Course begins on the 4th floor where the guide will provide visitors with a harness to keep you on track. The course can accommodate approximately 75 climbers at once. There are guides looking out for climbers in distress. If someone to conquer a difficult element and can’t continue, the friendly guide will come and help.
There are 75 different elements on the course including a tremor bridge, tension traverse, a vertical rope ladder, a quarter cargo net, a two line rope bridge, an alternating spaghetti handline and a three line lumber rope bridge.
In order to climb you must be at least 42″ ( 3’6″ ) to participate with an adult or 48″ ( 4′ ) to participate alone. Maximum height is 80″ ( 6’8” ). Closed shoes required. Maximum weight limit is 300 pounds.
The Palisades Adventure Climb also has the Sky Tykes Ropes Course on the 4th Floor of the mall for children too young or small to go on the regular ropes course. It is designed for children 48” and under with 10 elements for them to conquer. The open and low-level design allows for easy parental guidance. Parents can walk alongside the child or simply step back and watch them take part in the fun as they are securely harnessed in. Closed shoes are required for the Sky Tykes Ropes course.

What’s a mall without a bowling alley? Lucky Strike is a great destination when looking for a break during a shopping trip or to go specifically for entertainment.
Lucky Strike offers bowling, billiard tables, ping pong tables in addition to the restaurant and bar.
Lucky Strike has 12 bowling lanes. Reservations can be made for playing by the hour but not per game or for walk-ins. There is sometimes a wait for a lane to become available.
The bowling alley is great with many couches and plenty of seating space. It isn’t very crowded when playing since there are only twelve lanes. There are also slides for the children to use to make it easier for them.

Ice skating at the Palisades Center is refreshing and enjoyable. The rink is generally not too crowded. It has enough space for everyone to enjoy themselves. It is a great place to learn to ice skate or just to sharpen your skills. I love the way you can just go in for an enjoyable skate session and then do your shopping errands at the same time. The prices are very decent and there are often groupons available that make it really inexpensive. (Get Groupon information here.)

Over the years I’ve had a few Virtual Reality experiences. Each time it would be a single ride included with other activities. I was never at a facility that has a variety of Virtual Reality options to experience as does VR ExoDrome. VR ExoDrome, is a 4,500 square foot Virtual Reality Park. Ages 5 and up can enjoy a variety of top of the line Virtual Reality rides. The VR Park is unique in the way that it is a blend of amusements and games. The park can be divided into four sections for each type of VR game or experience.
The ExoJet can take you on a virtual roller coaster ride, even spinning upside down, at the same time you can play a game against your seatmate using the joystick nearby to shoot down targets. It is an interactive motion simulator attraction that features real sensations thanks to a 360-degree rotation and special effects of wind, lightning and sound with the wear of an Oculus Rift headset.
The ExoPlane can be relaxing, as when swinging over a Japanese Garden. It can be fun when shooting targets in a game while swinging. The attraction features real in-flight sensations and special effects of wind, lightning, and sound. The handlebars allow you to control the flight.
The Extreme Machine is an extreme sports virtual simulator that provides extreme sensations such as bungee diving, Jet Ski racing, Skydiving, roller coaster riding, extreme waterfall rafting and other options. I tried the skydiving. It felt so real, especially with the wind blowing on my face.
The Virtual Maze/Labyrinth/Escape Room works with a wireless HTC Vive Headset. Multiple games, put the headset on and travel through ancient labyrinths while dodging skeleton zombies or having a shootout in the middle of the Arizona desert.

Carousel and Ferris Wheel-Palisades Mall
The Carousel and Ferris Wheel located across each other on the 3rd floor in the Palisades Mall are exciting for kids. The benefit is that you don’t need to spend lots of time on these rides, just a couple of minutes of fun and then you can continue with whatever else was on your agenda. I was pleasantly surprised at the fair price of the rides. It is interesting to see the food court and surrounding area from up above on the ferris wheel. The carousel has two floors that makes it unique – an inner upper story and the lower main area.

Dave & Buster has the largest selection of arcades I’ve seen. There are so many games, it is hard to choose which one to play. Once you rack up points, they can be redeemed in what seems like a real store. There are so many prizes to choose from. It’s a great place for some impromptu indoor fun.
In addition to the plethora of arcade games such as Pacman, bowling, Super Shot Basketball, Zombie Snatcher, Star Trek, Typhoon, and Candy Crush, there is a restaurant and bar. There are areas with large screens showing sports games. Pool tables are located near the arcade room.
Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

It’s wild to think that you can go shopping in the mall and then, without even leaving, take a thrilling ride in the 43,000 square foot facility on a racing kart which can reach the speed of 50 MPH!
You never have to reschedule due to inclement weather; the weather at Autobahn Indoor Speedway is always perfect. There are no reservations necessary.
We walked in and Mickey helped us sign up and get started. First we needed to watch a short safety video. Once that was completed we headed over to the starting point where we donned our head sock. We were then fitted with a heavy duty helmet and assigned to our car which is outfitted with professional four point safety harness.
I don’t think I went all that fast, after all I am a woman, although I did see some men before me enjoying every bit of speed they were able to use. It definitely was an experience even for me.
There are special karts designed for junior drivers (eight years and older and at least 48” tall) which can race up to 25 MPH. Children can race against each other or the clock. The junior karts have additional safety features to ensure their safety.
Autobahn in the Palisades Mall has lots of seating and can host events. Axe Throwing is another activity available at this location.
Want a free ride at Autobahn Indoor Speedway? (Pay only $7.95 for the yearly license if you do not have one) just sign up for the free birthday race here and show up within a week before or a week after your birthday with proof of your date of birth and you will receive your free race.

Billy Beez offers a plethora of activities for both children and “children at heart.” The 20,000 square foot facility is packed with fun activities for everyone.
Billy Beez is unique in the way that you see adults playing alongside children, turning the trip into a lasting family trip for all to remember.

If you are in the mood of a roller coaster ride while shopping, just head down to OMG Entertainment on the first floor of the Palisades Center Mall, where you will be treated to a virtual reality roller coaster ride while strapped into an actual roller coaster style seat. The roller coaster or perhaps a Rickshaw ride on the Great Wall of China or one of the six other movie options for that matter, play a 9D movie simulator which feels like the real experience. The seats move, shake and even turn upside down in a 360 degree spin. The fans that blow give an outdoor feel to the ride.
There are some other less extreme options for the faint of heart. The egg simulator has many options of experiences including the pendulum ride and many other fun options. There is also the Eagle, a standing experience of virtual reality while strapped to an eagle looking machine. The virtual reality games had us laughing when the players were facing all different directions while playing the game on the screen.

There are some more attractions in the Palisades Mall that I haven’t visited such as the Imax Theatre, Build a Bear, Color Me Mine a ceramics studio, Spinzone bumper cars that recently opened, and an Escape Room. Let us know what you love to do at the mall!

There are many shopping malls where we go with different buying list but buy different items due to the attraction. We have the habit of buying a new gadget, accessory or footwear every now and then. When you want to buy something for your home or office, it is important to know about the best shopping malls in Palisades Mall. This is one of the best shopping malls in Palisades that attracts people from all over the world. It has a wide range of shops, restaurants and entertainment facilities. The mall also has a large parking space and there are many restaurants along with a movie theater which makes it an ideal place for family outings. I clicked https://samplius.com/free-essay-examples/shopping-mall-is-one-of-my-favorite-places/ source and found essay examples free of cost on some my favorite places like malls or sports arena etc. I would like to suggest students to have a look and make their tough writing easy.
