They get tangled and caught up in each other – but we have a solution!
Whether you have 3 or 10 small appliances, chances are you have dangling wires. They get messy, tangled – and sometimes caught in the back of the drawer. While some of them include a built-in piece around which to wrap the cord, not all do. (Kitchen Aid mixers do not…)
Leah’s mother has this thing she does. When she discovers a good little organizing “thingie”, she’ll make sure to take it along with her to share with her kids. She doesn’t just tell them about it – she shows it to them and makes sure they use it! (Mrs. Roth was the one who inspired this post about laundry hanging solutions, too.)
That’s how we discovered these appliance cord wraps. Leah brought a package of four to a photo shoot with the instructions to go home and see which of my appliances needs one.
I knew right away that I was going to use them for my toaster and my Ninja smoothie machine. Those two appliances live on pull out shelves in a kitchen cabinet. The cords sometimes get stuck in the back, or they jump out when trying to close the cabinet and just get in the way.
The toaster actually does have a place to wrap the wire – on the bottom. Seriously. Who wants to turn over a toaster and spill out all the crumbs each time you want to put it away? Not me.
(Of course, in order to photograph these appliances, I had to give them a good shine first. This is what I use for stainless steel. Thanks, Leah, for making me do that.)
It was so simple – I stuck on the little wrap thing and voila! The cords are contained!

Thanks for that whatdoidowiththatcord thingy tip! Cant wait to buy them. For the stainless cleaner , I find the microfiber cloths from Weiman most effective. I also love the Weiman stainless wipes for my stainless appliances big and small.

The wrap item does not melt from the heat?

I haven’t noticed any issues yet!
